As a Florida Master Naturalist, I have a passion for the outdoors and Pelican Media takes pride in the work we have done focusing on the environment and waters of Southwest Florida.
For the 50th anniversary of the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve, Pelican Media produced the 30-minute documentary, “Preserving Our Waters: 50 Years of the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve” for WGCU Public Media. The documentary looks at the people who labored to get the bay designated the first aquatic preserve as well as those who are working hard to maintain the waters today and for the future.
Working with the staff of the Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves, Pelican Media created videos to promote the educational boat tours featuring the outstanding waters of Charlotte Harbor.
Pelican Media worked with the staff of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s communication office to create 360˚ virtual tours of select aquatic preserves throughout Florida. Of course our favorite is the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve video that showcases not only the fun ways visitors can enjoy the bay but also the outstanding work of the Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve staff who monitor and maintain the bay.
For our latest video project, we hit the water with fishing guide, Debbie Hanson of SheFishes2 for TakeMeFishing.org. The video series focused on Getting Ready for Fishing Season, Fun Fishing Trip Ideas, Mother’s Day Fishing and National Fishing and Boating Week activities.
